For downhill skiers and boarders, Tamarack Resort, offers 20 kilometers of machine-groomed trails. Be sure to check this resort out for endless fun!

Cascade has groomed cross-country trails and when Lake Cascade freezes over it becomes a huge, natural ice-skating rink. The golf course on the east shore of Lake Cascade is a great (ungroomed) skiing spot, and slightly further, on the east side opposite the golf course is also very popular. Of course, with all the public lands in our area, Nordic skiers can find miles of fun on their own. Tamarack, presently has 7 km of dog friendly groomed trails for cross-country and skate-skiers overlooking Lake Cascade. Many of the open meadow trails are open to skiing with your dog. Stolle Meadows over in the Warm lake area is a local favorite for cross-country skiers.

The Lake Cascade State Park offers the Park Loop Trail and the Crown Point Trail for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing and the Hasbrouck Ranch offers miles of trails maintained by the Southern Valley County Recreation District.
