The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. You may check in at any time, but please ensure your square(s) are completed by 2:00 p.m.

Check-in will be located at the booth in front of the Cascade Chamber office near Umpqua Bank. If you haven’t already paid your artist fee of $5.00 (cash or check), you’ll do so at that time. You’ll also receive your square assignment, event instructions, and an ice cream coupon. The coupon is redeemable at the Cascade Cultural Arts Center, where a volunteer will be handing out ice cream.

Chalking supplies will be available on tables throughout downtown. Please return all supplies to the tables when you’re finished.

Please chalk only within your assigned square. The City of Cascade graciously permits us to host this event each year, and that continued support depends on our participants staying within the designated areas. Chalking outside the lines means additional cleanup, which can be both tedious and time-consuming.

There is no specific theme for the event, so feel free to express your creativity! However, we kindly ask that you avoid logos or politically charged imagery.

Once you’ve finished your artwork, let the check-in team know. At that time, you can request hairspray to help preserve your design (optional). Spraying your square can help it last a bit longer.
