The American Legion Auxiliary was established in 1924 and has operated continuously since then. The American Legion supports two types of funds, the “Kid’s Fun,” and a “General Fund.” The Kid’s Fund supports Girls State attendees, the Doris Waite Book Scholarship, giving coats, hats, gloves, and boots for children in Cascade, among other things. Meanwhile, the “General Fund” purchases supplies as needed for the American Legion Auxiliary, decorating supplies for our Friday night dinners – tablecloths, etc.
